Following the resounding success of the IPRS Stage at the Serendipity Arts Festival 2024, IPRS is thrilled to bring the magic back—this time to the iconic Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai. Prepare to witness the unparalleled splendour of India’s rich and diverse musical heritage as we once again take the world on an unforgettable sonic journey.
Season 1 dazzled audiences with mythical melodies, the resonance of rare folk instruments, and the bold & adventurous rhythms of Bastar. Now, Season 2 promises to elevate the experience even further, unveiling two new and exciting discoveries and soul-stirring performances ready to captivate hearts on a global stage.

TETSEO SISTERS
Tetseo Sisters are singing sisters from Nagaland’s Kohima. They are known for their music performances especially popularising “Li” sung in the Chokri Dialect of the Chakhesang Naga Tribe of Nagaland. The sisters have been singing since their childhood and have been sharing their harmonious melodies, showing off a beautiful and unique tradition of this part of the world. Hiyohey!
The Tetseo Sisters’ performance on the IPRS Stage at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival will be a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern states of India. DESERT KATS
Desert KATS – an unique folk/world music band from Barmer, Jodhpur, the deserts of Western Rajasthan, India
Four musicians from the Langa community of Western Rajasthan, India – DESERT KATS, represented by Kasam Khan, Sikandar Khan, Pathan Khan and Aslam Khan are creating music with their mesmerising vocals and traditional instruments like the Khartal ( two pairs of flat, smooth pieces of wood a rare percussive instrument used by two communities in the Western Rajasthan), Algoza (Algoza is a paired woodwind instrument. It is traditionally used by Rajasthani folk musicians. It consists of two joined beak flutes, one for melody, the second for drone.) Sarangi (is a bowed, short-necked string instrument played in traditional music) Dholak (a two headed hand drum) and the Harmonium ( a reed organ).
The ‘Desert Kats’ will bring to life the hauntingly beautiful music of the deserts, showcasing a rich tapestry of traditions while preserving the region’s rare musical art forms and ancient instruments. Their performance is a celebration of heritage and a call to safeguard these timeless cultural treasures.
