A Remarkable Collaboration

IPRS Stage Chapter 2 at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival: A Kaleidoscope of creativity, where creativity/music knows no bounds!

Kala Ghoda Arts Festival & Indian Performing Rights Society (IPRS) presented   a historic collaboration from 26th Jan to 27th Jan 2025 at Cross Maidan , Mumbai. True to its reputation, it was a spectacular & unforgettable experience.

Programme Highlights​

TETSEO SISTERS:

As the curtains  opened , Tetseo sisters  the renowned folk fusion band from Nagaland, wove a spell of enchantment, mesmerizing the crowd. The stage ignited with seamlessly blended vocals that embodied the essence of sibling harmony,  every note they sang was  accompanied by their poignant & charismatic voices intertwined .

With each performance, the audience was teleported to a magical universe as the stage pulsed with an infectious passion.

DESERT KATS:

Folk music band from Barmer Jodhpur, the deserts of Western Rajasthan

In the hearts of mirage oasis, Desert Kats crafted a perfect blend of rare art musical forms & antique instruments. The meticulous curation of Desert Kats set   the stage ablaze through their high octane performances & got the crowd moving & grooving. The infectious beats filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm, drawing the audience in & leaving them spellbound.

Through their performance, they paid homage to their roots safeguarding & preserving the treasures of their cultural heritage.

Tetseo Sisters: Tetseo Sisters- Alune Tetseo, Kuvelo Tetseo, Azine Tetseo, Mhaseve K Tetseo & Mutsevelu Tetseo hailing from  Kohima are  pioneering  & popularizing their unique heritage -“Li” sung in the Chokri Dialect of the Chakhesang Naga Tribe by skilfully blending tradition with innovation .

Desert Kats:  From the Langa community of western Rajasthan featuring Kasam Khan, Sikandar Khan, Aslam Khan & Pathan Khan creating a captivating musical experience  through their mastery of traditional vocals & ancient instruments like the Khartal , Algoza, Sarangi & Dholak and the Harmonium.
