For far too long, many brilliant composers and lyricists have remained hidden in the shadows, even as their creations have garnered widespread admiration and acclaim. IPRS’s mission has always been to bring these creators to the forefront, acknowledging their talent and dedication in crafting musical masterpieces that have become an integral part of our lives.
Continuing the #CreditTheCreators initiative we celebrated IPRS Antakshari on World Music Day 2022. This was designed to bring attention to the often-overlooked lyricists and composers behind the music that brings joy to people’s lives.
Antakshari is a game that holds a special place in the hearts of many in India. It has been a source of joy, laughter, and camaraderie, bringing friends and families together to bond over their love for music
The IPRS Antakshari initiative was a creative and engaging way to bring attention to the often-overlooked lyricists and composers behind the music. With every song added by the enthusiastic participants, we took a step towards acknowledging the creators of the music.
By incorporating the crediting of lyricists and composers into the Antakshari event, we hope to inspire a broader conversation about the importance of recognizing and honoring their artistic contributions.
