From IPRS Desk

Namaskar and hello everyone. We are glad to present to you the first edition of the IPRS Newsmailer. A rightly mentioned by Mr. Mayur Puri in his editorial, the core idea behind this initiative is to have an open and consistent dialogue with all our members. For a year, we have been going through multiple challenges and unprecedented situations. But, we thank all of you for being with us strongly, as we fought through the pandemic finding out ways to support each other. Under the able leadership of our Chairman Javed Akhtar Sahab and our CEO Mr. Rakesh Nigam, we are revamping systems and processes to best suit the changing needs. We would like to thank all of you once again for your participation and support in adapting to the new processes as we transition from an offline mode of application and data submission to an end-to-end online process. We are now processing all applications digitally and encouraging our members to submit their works online.

There will be challenges, but those challenges should not overshadow the new opportunities being created in this rapidly growing music industry. Thus IPRS as a copyright society and, a community of authors, composers, and publishers of music, is always active towards safeguarding the rights of its members and play a crucial role in ensuring that authors, composers, and owners of music are duly credited, whenever their musical compositions and songs are streamed, downloaded, broadcast, performed, and played in public. We as a team are taking initiatives to value add and support you in your creative journey through multiple activities and member engagement programs.

Member query redressal wing actively receives, scans, collects, and resolves member queries regularly.
Rajshree Khatau from HO along with the regional team members Sasi Bhusan, Priyanka Rastogi, and Partha Ghosh will be your point of contact for all queries and information required.

As a member please register your works as soon as they are released. Your works must be shared with us in the required format regularly. Provide complete and correct information related to your works and help us serve you better. Wrong and/or incomplete information leads to errors in calculation and royalty payout.
