About the Performances

Vayali Bamboo Band | 15 December 2025

An extraordinary orchestra where every instrument is handcrafted from bamboo — flutes, percussion, and string instruments alike. Rooted in Kerala’s musical heritage, the band celebrates sustainable craftsmanship while creating deep, resonant, earthy soundscapes that echo nature itself.

FunkyBodhi ft. S. Rani’s Irular Ensemble | 16 December 2025

A 25-year-old collaborative platform initiated by Paul Jacob, FunkyBodhi brings together musicians from across the world to explore indigenous sounds through contemporary expression. Featuring folk singer and community leader S. Rani from the Irular tribe of Tamil Nadu, this performance is both a powerful musical experience and a voice for social change.
Supported by the Serendipity Arts Folk Arts Grant.

Gulabi Vinyl | 17 December 2025

Singer-songwriter Vidhya Gopal and poet Alok Ranjan Srivastava present a unique live experience blending thumri, dadra, ghazal, and classic Hindi film songs. Each composition becomes a dialogue between nostalgia and the present — where poetry, memory, and melody gently converge.

Beintehaan: A Musical Harvest with Mayur Puri | 18 December 2025

Curated by acclaimed songwriter and filmmaker Mayur Puri, this immersive one-hour act reimagines India’s musical traditions — from Kajri and dohas to Sufi kalaams and ghazals — through indie-folk fusion and original compositions. Interactive, soulful, and deeply rooted, Beintehaan invites audiences to sing, reflect, and connect.

Rooh-e-Qawwali with Shahbaaz Hussain Khan | 19 December 2025

Led by Shahbaaz Hussain Khan of the 565-year-old Gwalior Gharana, this traditional Sufi Qawwali ensemble preserves the original form, spirit, and devotion of the genre. With powerful vocals and timeless poetry, the performance keeps the authentic sound of Sufi music alive.

Dashugs | 20 December 2025

Hailing from Ladakh, Dashugs derives its name from “Da” (sound) and “Shugs” (force). Blending indigenous Ladakhi sounds with contemporary energy, the band represents the new creative voice of the Himalayas. Founding members of the Musical Society of Ladakh, Dashugs stands for cultural preservation through modern expression.
