IPRS celebrated its 54th anniversary with the launch of the Indie edition of “Learn and Earn – Connecting New Age Creators.” This event marked a significant step towards connecting with budding musicians and independent artists aiming to educate and provide them with an exclusive platform to interact with industry experts and established creators.
The event featured curated knowledge sessions to equip independent artists with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the competitive music landscape.
The Art of Songwriting – Crafting Melodies and Lyrics: Led by Lyricist and Screenwriter Mayur Puri and Singer-Songwriter, Producer Shashaa Tirupati, this workshop delved deep into the heart of songwriting. Participants explored the intricate interplay between melodies and lyrics while mastering the art of music production that resonates with their audience.
Managing Your Rights as a Creator: This insightful workshop by Atul Churamani provided attendees with the know-how on music copyright and how to manage their rights in the digital era.
Mastering The Indie Music Scene by Leslie Lewis: The legendary Leslie Lewis shared his wisdom and secrets to thriving as an independent musician. Attendees gained priceless advice, proven strategies, collaboration tips, and a dose of inspiration to flourish as an independent artist.
Creator Showcase: This segment was the direct path to wider recognition, offering participants an opportunity to present their original works directly to influential A&R representatives and industry experts.
The event served to highlight IPRS as more than just a copyright society. In addition to its role as a Collective Management Organization (CMO), IPRS demonstrated its commitment to supporting budding artists by connecting them with music industry representatives, fostering a strong and sustainable community of music makers.
