My Music My Rights Creator Connect Program
As music creators today, while making great music, artists must also ensure it is discovered and played wherever their audience is. The line between music creation and the music business is rapidly blurring. Hence, IPRS, in collaboration with Dolby, organized a multi-city event to bridge the gap and help musicians understand the various facets of the music business and how they can effectively protect, promote, and monetize their creations.
In each city, IPRS brought industry experts on one stage to assist them in understanding the music landscape. The subject-experts shared their knowledge and experiences, offering invaluable inputs and practical strategies to help today’s creators and independent artists navigate the ever-evolving music landscape effectively.
The highlights of the event included-
1. Songwriting Sessions: Leading authors and composers conducted engaging songwriting sessions, offering creative inspiration and practical tips.
2. Spotify for Artists: Spotify joined us to provide exclusive insights on how to leverage the platform for maximum reach and engagement.
3. Dolby on Sound Production: Dolby delved into cutting-edge sound production techniques, sharing their expertise with the attendees.
4. Panel Discussion: We had an impressive array of industry stakeholders on one stage —distributors, artist
managers, festival directors, DSP managers, music publishers and copyright expert, discussing the music landscape for independent artists.
5. Networking Opportunities: Attendees mingled with industry pros and peers, forging valuable connections and fostering a collaborative spirit.
The creator connect program was an incredible success, leaving participants buzzing with newfound knowledge and valuable connections. Through dynamic networking opportunities, musicians connected with key industry players, enhancing their understanding and capabilities within the music industry.

IPRS organised an informative workshop for Musicians at MashupEdu
Understanding and managing music rights has become a cornerstone in today’s music landscape. As part of our mission to support and empower the vibrant community of new-age music creators, we embarked on an educational journey to reach out to and educate students on how to manage their rights and earn their due royalties. We hosted a session called “IPRS for Music Makers” for a diverse cohort of exceptional music creators at MashupEdu. By providing them with the tools to manage their rights and navigate the industry landscape, we engaged with these artists at a pivotal stage in their careers.
Our goal was not only to provide practical insights but also to cultivate a sense of empowerment. Armed with required knowledge, these artists are now better equipped to navigate the industry, make informed decisions, and capitalize on opportunities effectively. This endeavor is part of our larger vision to educate more aspiring musicians, ensuring they understand music publishing and its opportunities, and make the most from the music they create.
